This Atlantic coast Biking Tour Morocco starts with transfers from Marrakech to the Imlil Valley, near Mount Toubkal. This marks the commencement of the first day's riding. We stop for mint tea and pastries at the top of the mountain (2300m) before continuing on to the first true single-track via the towns of Tachddirt, Tamguist, and Amssakrou. For a few hours, we're on fantastic, flowing singletrack that dumps us into the riverbed for lunch. We're back on the road after a nice, long, leisurely lunch. A brief ascent that leads to a single-track descent.
Today we continue Atlantic coast Biking Tour Morocco from Imi Oughlad, a difficult ascent to the summit of the week's second pass. The climb is optional, and uplift may be arranged for those who choose not to take on the task. The singletrack is easier and quicker than on the first day. There's a shop at the bottom of this singletrack where we can have a soda and some cake before continuing on to the next hill. We drop onto a brief piece of really difficult singletrack at the summit of this climb. We next proceed to the Gite where we will spend the night and eat lunch. Today our 8 Days Biking Tour continues and we travel from one town to the next, this road connects three or four others. There are a number of short 3-400m hills that launch us into extremely rapid portions. We halt for lunch in a remote forested area of the riverbed, where mint tea awaits us. We were on our way again after lunch. After warm-up, we cross a big dam to discover the entry to yet another fantastic ribbon of single-track leading to a magnificent canyon. This is absolutely stunning scenery to rival some of the world's greatest singletrack.
Today is another challenging fantastic singletrack day, with plenty of climbs and we have a traverse and singletrack drop back into a riverbed on the opposite side of the valley for another, highly technical ascent from the top of this challenge. Before we make our way to lunch, there is a great singletrack drop from the summit. Transfer to Imouzzar Ida Outanane after lunch, where you will spend the night. After breakfast we start day 5 with bicycling through different scenery, this might be one of your favorite days of riding as we bike a quiet route from the highlands to the sea. We ride past some surprise waterfalls and wind down the road in the magnificent Targant Valley; a first strong ascent will take us to the high plateaus where local Berbers graze their herds of goats and camels quietly. The fragrance of the sea indicates our impending arrival to the Atlantic Coast as we ride west! We arrive at Imessouane, where our fantastic cycling trip comes to a close, and it's a nice time for a quick swim. Imessouane is where you'll spend the night.
You will enjoy a fantastic morning ride along the Atlantic coast followed by a decent stretch interior, bearing witness to beautiful mountains, valleys, and villages with massive mansions that sit like thrones on top of mountain slopes, as well as terraced fields with almond trees in bloom. Our incredible Bike Adventure comes to a conclusion at Sidi Kaouki, which is ideal for a quick swim and a satisfying picnic lunch. We take a short journey to Essaouira in our vehicle.
8-Day Atlantic coast Biking Tour continues and before heading for Marrakech, there will be time to visit the Medina in Essaouira and walk along the shore. Following that, we'll see the city's sights, including El Bahia Palace; as darkness falls on the spectacular Jemaa El Fna, we'll see snake charmers, acrobats, and street performers of every type amuse us. For our final night, we'll stay in a lovely hotel near the Medina's medieval district.
